CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — It’s not every day that a rocket leaving one of the three currently active pads at the Cape comes back to the U.S. Air Force Station. On Dec. 21, 2015, that is exactly what happened. SFI has brought you live coverage of the event, comprehensive articles and social media updates. We now provide you with stunning video of the launch and landing produced by our team of volunteers – who barely slept to bring this historic event to you!

The “MTV”-like camera action in this video is not to my liking. The panning and rolling and up and down and quick cuts may look good in a music video, but I like to actually be able to see what I’m looking at, in detail, for a few seconds, before the camera moves down into the grass, or up into the empty clouds.
