SFI Launch Highlights: NASA / NOAA’s GOES-R satellite on ULA Atlas V 541

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — United Launch Alliance (ULA) sent one of the most powerful iterations of their Atlas V rockets into the early evening Florida skies on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016. Carrying NASA / NOAA’s GOES-R weather satellite, the launch vehicle thundered off of SLC-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 6:52 p.m. EST (23:52 GMT). What follows is SFI exclusive video from the 67th flight of the venerable Atlas V.
