• Launch of SBIRS GEO 4 scrubbed

  CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The planned flight of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V 411 rocket has been scrubbed by at least 24 hours due to unspecified reasons. The mission was set to lift off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Space Launch Complex 41 in Florida with the fourth Space Based Infrared System GEO (SBIRS GEO 4) satellite with the window scheduled to open at 7:52 p.m. EST (00:52 GMT on Friday, Jan. 19).

  CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- ULA is planning on sending the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) GEO Flight 4 mission for the U.S. Air Force to orbit. The flight is currently scheduled to begin as early as 7:48 p.m. EST (00:48 GMT on Friday, Jan. 20) atop an Atlas V 411 rocket from Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 41 in Florida. SpaceFlight Insider's Live Show is slated to begin at 7:20 p.m. EST.

  CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- After a slight delay from late 2017, United Launch Alliance is readying an Atlas V 411 to launch the fourth geosynchronous element of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Space Based Infrared Sensor (SBIRS) program. The launch, is currently set to take place from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) Space Launch Complex (SLC) 41 on January 18.

  CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Two U.S. Air Force missions have been postponed to no-earlier-than 2018, as was noted on Gunter's Space Page. Each of the missions are scheduled to fly on United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rockets, however, neither delay apparently was the result of the launch service provider.
