  • Orbcomm CEO: Waiting on SpaceX to confirm launch date

    CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — It appears that SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket could once again take off through Florida's hazy skies in about ten days' time. A recent tweet by ORBCOMM's CEO, Marc Eisenberg, on Dec. 9, 2015, stated that the spacecraft were set to be launched on the first flight of a Falcon 9 since one of the rockets was lost earlier this year.

  • Sierra Nevada delivers final 11 ORMCOMM OG2 satellites for launch

    While known mostly for their Dream Chaser spacecraft, SNC also constructs spacecraft for other customers. SNC has delivered 11 ORBCOMM OG2 2 satellites to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. The spacecraft are scheduled to launch atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket for the mission. The current scheduled launch date is mid-to-late December of 2015.
