    Residents along Florida's Space Coast might experience their first sonic boom in more than four years when SpaceX conducts their inaugural attempt to land a Falcon 9 first stage back at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Landing Complex 1. With launch set to take place at 8:29 p.m. EST - a new age in space flight could start tonight.

  • Sierra Nevada Corporation transfers operation of six Orbital satellites to ORBCOMM

    The first six satellites of the ORBCOMM Generation Two (OG2) constellation, designed and built by Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Space Systems, have completed all on-orbit checkout procedures, culminating in the transfer of operations from SNC to ORBCOMM in mid-September. The six satellites have already begun providing greater network efficiency for ORBCOMM’s global customers.
