    CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — ULA successfully sent the classified NROL-61 payload to orbit on July 28, 2016. The mission got underway at 8:37 a.m. EDT (12:37 GMT). SFI captured the launch from several remote cameras placed at SLC-41 the day prior - check out the stunning video produced from these video cameras below.

    CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — United Launch Alliance (ULA) successfully sent the sixth of the 421 configuration of the company's Atlas V launch vehicle into the morning skies. The payload for this morning's flight was a classified satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

    United Launch Alliance (ULA) is preparing to launch the latest addition to the National Reconnaissance Office's (NRO) satellite fleet. On July 28, 2016, a classified payload—designated NROL-61—will launch atop a ULA Atlas V rocket, arranged in the 421 configuration (4-meter payload fairing, 2 solid rocket boosters, and a single engine Centaur upper stage), on a mission in support of national defense.
