    VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — A United Launch Alliance Atlas V 541 rocket has successfully lifted off from Launch Complex 3 at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California to deliver a classified satellite into orbit for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

    United Launch Alliance (ULA) recently announced that it is currently planning on launching the NROL-42 mission from Vandenberg Air Force Base's Space Launch Complex-3 (SLC-3) in California. At present, the mission is slated for launch on Sept. 14 of this year (2017).
