    Poised for launch on Thursday March 26, 2020, an Atlas V rocket is set to lift the sixth and final Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite. The 2-hour long launch window opens at 2:57 PM EDT (18:57 UTC) and stretches until 4:57 EDT (20:57 UTC).

    The planned launch of the next United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket, set to loft the sixth Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite built by Lockheed Martin, has been delayed to no earlier than (NET) March 21. 

  • AEHF communications satellite network activated

    The Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF ) satellite network, built to serve the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands has been brought online. Three of the spacecraft, which are used to connect the participants' armed forces, have already been sent to geostationary orbits with three more still to be launched.

  • SMC Awards Combined Orbital Operations Logistics Sustainment Contract

    Lockheed Martin Corporation has been awarded the $736 million Combined Orbital Operations Logistics Sustainment (COOLS ) contract by the U.S. Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). Under the COOLS contract, LMCO is required to provide Operations and Sustainment (O&S) services for three separate satellite constellations.
