Hawthorne, California-based Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX launched) the third of seven planned Falcon 9 flights for Iridium Communications on Monday, October 9 at 5:37 a.m. PDT (8:37 a.m. EDT / 12:37. The flight took place from Space Launch Complex 4E (East) at the U.S. Air Force's Vandenberg Air Force Base located in California, Each flight is scheduled to launch ten additional next generation Iridium communications satellites to orbit.
