KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- Es'hail 2 is a communications satellite that will be operated by Es’hailSat, Qatar's Satellite Company once it reaches orbit. The spacecraft features an amateur radio payload as well. Es'hail 2 will be positioned at the 26° East position to provide TV broadcasting services and should significantly add to the company’s ability to provide high quality, premium DTH television content across the Middle East and North Africa. The satellite was launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2018 at 3:46 p.m. EST from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39A in Florida.
