On March 16, 2017 OneWeb Satellites, comprised of OneWeb and Airbus Defense and Space Inc. unveiled their new 100,000 square foot facility located at Exploration Park just outside of NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This new structure will be used to produce a constellation of new spacecraft designed to provide internet services to an estimated four billion people worldwide who currently don't have reliable access to this technology. Attended by Florida's Governor Rick Scott as well as well as Brian Holz CEO OneWeb Satellites, Mike Cosentino, President of Airbus Defense and Space Inc. - the event welcomed the first satellite production facility of its type to the Sunshine State.
