U.S. Navy Blue Angels kick off 2014 Sun n’ Fun with a bang

LAKELAND, Fla — The United States Navy flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels opened the 2014 Sun n’ Fun International Air Show and Expo with the roar that only their F/A-18 Hornets can provide. Thursday, April 3 saw the team conduct their stunning routine in the mostly-clear skies above Central Florida. The show’s start marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic aerial event.

Sun n Fun is a popular annual event, those planning on attending should make sure to arrive early – and stay late. The Air Show will have evening events as well. Kids under 10 get in for free. For children between the ages of 10 and 17 a daily ticket runs $15, where a weekly ticket will set you back $60. For adults, daily tickets are $37 and weekly tickets $150.
