  • Max Polyakov’s Firefly Aerospace opens R&D center in Dnipro City, Ukraine

    President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, joined the opening of a branch of the American company Firefly Aerospace, relaunched by Max Polyakov - in Dnipro, Ukraine. It is designed to develop lightweight rockets for launching cargo into space. The restart of the enterprise could help make advances to the aerospace industry in the country.

  • Firefly Aerospace demos its Lightning 1 engine

    CEDAR PARK, Texas -- In a demo for a crowd of people from the Austin, Texas South by Southwest festival, Firefly Aerospace fired its "Lightning 1" engine at 10 percent thrust for about one minute. It is hoped the engine design will propel the second stage of the company's "Firefly Alpha" rocket into space as early as 2019.
